Surah Al-Fatiha
Hamd: Praise AND thankful.
Being grateful does not mean praising the person. Praise and thanks are two different things.
Al-Hamdulilah - All praise and thank belong to Allah.
Al-Madh, al-shukur also mean praise and thanks.
Al-Madh - praise that can be done without sincerity, can be not genuine and to non-living & living things.
Syukran - recognise something was done and then thank the person, gratitude is a reaction.
Hamd - a genuine feeling, done for the living things, necessarily sincere, a noun, not a verb.
Whatever good or bad, Alhamdulilah.
Lilah: Allah does not use His other names which are descriptions. Fatiha is about absolute clarity. Best way to say thank to Allah for ALL His attributes (Creator, Sustainer, Merciful etc).
Inna alhamdulilah - Absolutely, definitely all praise and thanks belong to Allah. Why isn't "Inna" used?
Quran is precise language. Informational sentences vs Emotional sentences. Emotional sentences is right from the heart. "Inna" is used for informational sentences only. The fact that Allah does not used "inna" is because Allah wants us to feel it. Another benefit is Allah is saying this to all human beings. "Inna" is used when you used to debate with someone.
